A few years ago I decided that I had had enough of the corporate world and decided to strike out on my own. There seemed to be a lack of great contemporary home items that weren't too slick or too expensive. I figured if I couldn't find them, maybe they weren't there. So, with all of my savings, a few sketches and a desk in my guest bedroom, I started Wingard. A rather daunting task, but well worth the risk I thought.

Color Story" Antique Black" Storage Bench features a French Country sleigh shape with beadboard back and side panels. The skirts are scalloped. The seat opens with stay hinges to reveal ample storage for blankets and accessories. The legs are square tapered with a lambs tongue groove in the corner. Finished in "Antique Black" with Natural sand through. Some assembly required.

After two generations of furniture manufacturing, Bob and Belle Cooper founded The Uttermost Company in 1975, and it is still 100% owned by the Cooper family. Bob and Belle continue to be involved in the business, but are not active in day-to-day activities. Mac Cooper, President/CEO, Taz Cooper, Exec VP/Sales Manager, and a strong management team operate the business today.
